The popular game of cricket is accessible to people of all ages, levels, and backgrounds. Clubs that cater to football, tennis and bowls often up to cricket too, and many clubhouses offer evening and weekend training and matches for junior and senior players. Different versions of the game, such as the shortened version T20, have attracted increased interest in playing cricket.

Players and teammates of all levels are at risk of injury when playing cricket and should be prepared for sprains, cuts and grazes, as well as knocks from the ball with top quality first aid and other products.

As a cricket coach, you will be trained in first aid, and in the case of elite teams, you may also have a physio or team of medics on hand during gameplay.
It’s up to you to ensure that everyone has access to first aid equipment before a game commences and that your team is fully compliant with cricket safety regulations set out by the ECB National Governing Body.
You should have a first aid kit on hand for any injuries that occur during a game. Our sports medical kit is available in pitch side and physio versions, or for junior cricket, a junior sports team first aid kit is a good option. You should also be well-stocked with ice packs for inevitable knocks from the ball, trips, falls, sprains and strains.

If you are a sports physio or medic tasked with supervising a cricket team, you’ll need to have access to essentials like sports tape, first aid kits and consumables, as well as equipment to deal with emergencies and more serious injuries like airway management and evacuation and immobilisation tools.
To care for injured players after a game, you’ll also need bandages, compression supports and exercise equipment.

Cricket club volunteers and managers have a responsibility to all those using their sites to provide health and safety solutions as per ECB requirements. As your partner, we can help you maintain compliance.
As an absolute minimum, you must provide easy access to sports first aid kits, workplace and catering first aid kits (we offer these in a bundle), and infection control products. A non-contact infrared thermometer is a good way to ensure those entering your facility are safe. You will also need to provide a surface cleanser for people to use.
