From under 4’s rugby to the Premiership, rugby is one of the most intense sports around. An estimated one in four rugby players will suffer an injury during the season. There are few sports with greater importance and reliance on first aid on the pitch.
Our rugby first aid range is designed to offer support for every type of injury – from minor lacerations caused by studs to neck injury resulting in breathing difficulties. But it’s not just first aid, trauma, and airway management that we can help with. Infection control kits, EAB, rugby tapes and rehab supplies mean we’ll support you in prevention as well as recovery.
We work with rugby physios and first aiders at all levels to understand their situations and provide tailored solutions that suit them, from first aiders tending to juniors and mini rugby teams to medical teams including physios, medics, doctors, and sports therapists supporting regional and national leagues.
HOW WORKING WITH US CAN BENEFIT YOU
Working with us gets you a bespoke service you won’t find elsewhere. Our team of consultants draw on experience in rugby first aid to help us determine your level of risk and what type of first aid kit and infection control supplies you’ll need. From the fast-paced gameplay of rugby league to repeated, tactical rucks, scrums, and mauls of rugby union. These are the details that define good first aid support from great to fine-tune your level of medical attention in the heat of the moment.
We offer two levels of support depending on your needs and how much involvement you want from us.
For first aid compliance, managers and coaches of rugby clubs from grassroots to elite level need to consult the Rugby Football Union for Rugby Union clubs and the Rugby Football League for Rugby League clubs.
Chairmen buying for rugby teams will also need to ensure their first aid provisions are in line with the requirements of the Rugby Football Union or the Rugby Football League.
Essential rugby first aid will include a sports first aid kit (or junior first aid kit) and a pitchside trauma kit, along with infection control supplies.

- If you are based in the North West, a member of our team will visit your club on-site to install your equipment free of charge. If not, we’ll still take time to understand the environment, you play in and give you guidance on best practices for installation
- You and your club will have access to the Injury Rehab Network, and our knowledge hub for online and offline CPD and industry-specific resources
- When certain products are about to go out of date, such as your defibrillator’s batteries, we’ll inform you that they need replacing, ensuring you are always operating within regulatory requirements
- We’ll email you with updates on promotions and offers and keep you in the loop regarding news and events in the Injury Rehab Network relevant to rugby

We can also visit you at your club to perform a risk assessment if you’re in the North West. If not, we’ll have discussions to understand your environment in detail and provide guidance
- Installation of your first aid supplies at your pitch, stadium, or sports grounds
- Full access to the Injury Rehab Network, rugby-specific information, and our knowledge hub for both online and offline CPD
- Notification as and when your equipment needs replacing, so you don’t find yourself with out of date supplies
- Updates on news and events in the Injury Rehab Network relevant to you as a rugby player
- Update on promotions and offers
Junior and mini rugby first aiders will need a junior first aid kit and infection control supplies at a minimum.
First aiders attending to senior grassroots teams will also need a sports first aid kit and possibly a trauma first aid kit.
Medical teams of physiotherapists, doctors, and sports therapists supporting professional teams playing at local, regional and national levels will need supplies of sports tapes, first aid consumables, emergency and trauma equipment, and infection control items.

- If you’re located in the North West, we’ll come directly to your club or clinic to install your first aid solutions free of charge
- Access a wealth of up to date information, monthly events, and resources for physios, first aiders, and medical staff via the Injury Rehab Network; industry-specific information as well as our online and offline CPD; and our knowledge hub
- Any products close to their use-by date can be replaced on time through our notification service
- We’ll update you regularly on rugby, or first aid response and recovery-specific news and events in the Injury Rehab Network

If you are the owner or manager of a rugby club or stadium, you must supply teams with appropriate first aid kits and emergency first aid supplies along with infection control items.
A first aid room must be available at all times and easy to access with a stretcher. It’s critical that your first aid room is stocked at all times while rugby is in play.
