Steroban Cohesive Riplite is a lightweight cohesive bandage designed to provide an easier and cleaner tear. It is the ideal product for sports athletes or teams, as we all know – in sport – time is always of the essence. Riplite is constructed of woven cotton spandex making it highly-flexible and stretchable. This stretch means it’s perfect for creating precise and controlled, tension and compression for sprains and other soft tissues sports injuries. The longer you stretch and the more layers you apply, the higher the compression of the bandage.

Riplite can be used in the same way as Steroban Cohesive Bandages. Wrapping and supporting minor injuries to elbows, wrists, ankles and knees. It’s also a highly-versatile compression wrap for securing hot/cold packs and dressings in place. This tearable sports compression bandage is a team physios favourite product.

It has so many uses it would take forever to mention them all, as every physio probably creates a new use for this amazing, water-repellent stretch bandage. A few of the most popular uses for cohesive in the world of sport are;

Holding socks in place without restricting blood flow in the legs. Rugby players wrap cohesive around their heads and ears for protection in scrums. Dressing retention tape, holding dressings in place whilst applying compression. Football players use it to their hold shin pads to their leg without restriction. Goalkeepers use the bandage as finger tape, protecting the joints of their fingers without restricting movement. Applying the bandage to the ankle and soles of the feet can reduce friction and protect against blistering. Also used as spatting tape to provide support to the foot and ankle.
