World record-breaking cyclist Josh Quigley is on a personal mission to be the first Scottish winner of the Tour de France, and we couldn’t be more proud to support him.
The North Coast 500 (NC500) is a marathon of 516 miles across the highlands of Scotland.
The route is considered to be one of the toughest endurance challenges in the world, with an ascent of 34,423ft, more than Mount Everest.
In September 2020 Josh beat the previous NC500 record by six minutes, coming in at 31 hours and 17 minutes. He beat Commonwealth Games medalist James McCallum’s time, creating an incredible new world record.
Josh’s incentive for the challenge was to raise money for Baylor Scott & White Medical Centre, the Texas hospital where he received intensive care and rehabilitation following his accident last year
Josh is a champion. In spite of major injuries and surgeries, rehabilitation and recovery, Josh’s tour de force has never wavered. We saw a kindred spirit in Josh and were excited to sponsor him from the beginning. Since then we’ve been following his story and we’re certain we’ll see him in the yellow jersey before long.
