Football Club Doctor – An Evolving Role

Dr Imtiaz Ahmad is Head of Medical Services at QPR FC having joined the Club in 2016. He has previously worked at Tottenham Hotspur FC, Millwall FC and The FA. He is Co-Chairman of The FA Medical Society (SE), works at Lord’s for the MCC and is one of the Medical Advisers to the Pakistan Cricket Team.

He trained at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital and is the Lead Doctor for their injection clinic. He has interests in musculoskeletal ultrasound, communication and mental health in football.

Dr Ahmad will guide you through his presentation, ‘Football Club Doctor – An Evolving Role’ focusing on the role of a Club Doctor in emergency care, injury prevention, injury management, improving performance, team working, leadership and COVID-19.

The talk from Imtiaz will last around 30 – 40 minutes followed by time for questions and answers.

This free online event for anyone studying or working in the field of sports rehabilitation is taking place on Thursday 7th October 2021 at 7 pm. Sterosport are delighted to deliver this and all Injury Rehab Network events in collaboration with the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators (BASRaT).
