JOSH QUIGLEY

World record-breaking cyclist Josh Quigley is on a personal mission to be the first Scottish winner of the Tour de France, and we couldn’t be more proud to support him.

Josh Quigley

Josh has cycled just under 50,000 miles through 30 countries on 4 continents.

He was on track to complete a round the world trip. Sadly this was cut short by a life-threatening accident when a vehicle collided with him at 70mph in Texas in December 2019.

The accident resulted in a broken heel and ankle. A stent was fitted in Josh’s neck to feed blood towards his brain.

Only months after Josh’s brush with death, he was back on his bike, ready for a new and even more formidable challenge.

The North Coast 500 (NC500) is a marathon of 516 miles across the highlands of Scotland.

Despite a major accident in Dubai in February 2021 which resulted in a fractured spine and pelvis, and a subsequent arthritis diagnosis, Josh’s resolve never faltered.

In September 2021, Josh broke the Guinness World Record for the greatest distance cycled in a week, clocking in at 2,179.66 miles, shaving two miles off the previous record.

Described as the most intense experience of his life, Josh rode 18mph for 18 hours a day and 43 hours on the last days, climbing 8,000ft each day on an 80-mile route between Aberdeen and the Cairngorms.

Josh is a champion. In spite of major injuries and surgeries, rehabilitation and recovery, Josh’s tour de force has never wavered. We saw a kindred spirit in Josh and were excited to sponsor him from the beginning. Since then, we’ve been following his story, and we’re certain we’ll see him in the yellow jersey before long.
