Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) or as it is commonly known as ‘runners knee’. This term is given to describe patella pain on the front of the knee, caused by overuse. There are many causes of this problem, which can even be wearing the wrong footwear, running style, training surfaces and the amount of training.
In order to treat PFPS, rehabilitation is needed. To reduce symptoms, find your specific cause and strengthen/retrain the muscles in the knee. In order to engage in physical therapy exercises without pain, patella taping is needed. There are many different variations of the athletic training taping procedure dependent on an individuals specific needs.
The Sterotape Twin Pack is also suitable for taping other injured joints including ankles, shoulders, elbows and wrists. Sterofix provides a protective pre-tape layer to prevent rubbing and ensures the Sterotape Premium is held in place.
