SAM Pelvic Sling II

The pelvis is a ring of bone at the hip level, made up of several individual bones. A pelvic fracture is a break of any of these individual bones. A serious fracture occurs when more than one of these bones are broken, as they’re more likely to slip out of place. Major pelvic fractures are caused by major trauma, so in the world of sport it will be motor racing, horse racing, rock climbing etc. Where high-forces, high-impacts or high-speeds are apparent. The less severe pelvic fractures can occur in almost any sport, from falls, trips or tackles. The SAM Pelvic Sling II is the first and only force-controlled circumferential pelvic belt. The belt is applied around the hip area to safely and effectively reduce and stabilise open-book pelvic ring fractures.
